Ilia Stechkin is the author of "Journalists and the Internet" (2014). From 2004 to 2008, he headed the Department of internet-projects at REN TV, and from 2003 - 2004 he worked as a manager of an internet-project in the Rambler.
His position in Mirantis was Marketing Content manager, he was responsible for Community App Catalog Digest and works as a special correspondent for OpenStack: Unlocked. He was able to translate his journalistic talent and curiosity into an ability to absorb new material extremely quickly and make it understandable to the reader. He has an innate sense of how things work and the story behind the story, and the ability to create interesting content quickly and effectively. He also has a great sense of how things work on social media, and was able to translate that into tangible results.
Now Ilia is CMO at Host-Telecom.com s.r.o. Keeping the data center environment top-of-mind, Host-Telecom.com is active in adopting cloud technologies. Company's CEO Pavel Chernobrov addressed the importance of the underlying hardware infrastructure to build and operate cloud solutions at OpenStack Silicon Valley 2015, while the Host-Telecom.com team was involved in OpenStack Day Prague.
Ilia volunteered for track-chairing for the OpenStack Summit in Barcelona. He is also known as Forbes (Russia) contributor and co-founder of TechComLab.
