Mike McGrath has been a Linux community veteran for over a decade and has operational experience in production environments for almost two decades. Starting as a volunteer in Fedora he was hired by Red Hat to lead their infrastructure team. Mike then went on to found OpenShift, Red Hat's first Platform as a Service as well as their online offering. While managing OpenShift Online, a large public PaaS, Mike learned about the ins and outs of operating public and private clouds including hosting on Amazon and OpenStack. Today Mike is leading a new effort at Red hat called Atomic. Atomic is an ecosystem of tools to provide the best possible container experience for enterprise customers. It includes a next generation operating system as well as container orchestration tools.
