Bio

Makram Bouzid is a researcher at Bell Labs, Alcatel-Lucent, in France. He has a background in agent and multi-agent design, simulation, application and services. He also has a strong expertise in privacy-preserving personalization technologies (user profiling, context-awareness, and recommendation systems). He applied his background for the development of distributed and intelligent applications and systems. Makram research activities are focused during the two last years on root cause analysis in cloud infrastructures, and mainly in an OpenStack-based experimental platform. His current activities include anomaly detection and alarm generation using reasoning engines, cloud application topologies building and inference, using OpenStack API and Application Performance Monitoring tools, and alarm correlation exploiting Spark Streaming.
