John Taylor (CEO) co-founded StackHPC Ltd. to promote the convergence of HPC with cloud through the development of OpenStack within Research Computing. John has previously worked in technical marketing, sales and project management for various HPC system and technology component suppliers as well as CTO at a HPC systems integrator. Since then John worked as a HPC consultant, in the development of business case justification and procurement of large-scale HPC systems. At StackHPC, John has also been part of the SKA-Science Data Processor management and design teams, under the aegis of the University of Cambridge. For the SKA, he worked on systems engineering artefacts and architecture definition and jointly led prototyping activities for large scale storage data challenges. John is chair of the TWG Hardware and Enabling Software committee as part of the UKRI ExCALIBUR project.
