Openstack is a great open source initiative and being an avid python programmer, I would like to contribute to its success.
For several years ThoughtWorks provides consulting services to the company that started the OpenStack revolution--Rackspace. Leveraging the existing learning in this domain and ThougtWorks being a supporter of Open Source Software envisioned contributing to the "Linux of the Cloud" – OpenStack. Venu Murthy is leading this effort with the objective of contributing to OpenStack directly and thereby establish ThoughtWorks leadership in the Cloud space also.
While researching on the implementation of Private Clouds to provide 'Environments on Demand' for CD/CI (Continuous Deployment/Integration), automated deployments using open source software, he discovered the cloud bursting solution which can now allow enterprises to no more be limited by their private clouds and in case of an unforeseen spike in traffic, be able to load balance leveraging the public cloud of their choice. This solution has been open sourced and he is currently presenting it in various conferences to get contributors for this project.
