Bio

Yichen is a technical leader at Cisco Systems. He is part of the Cisco Virtualized Infrastructure Manager (CVIM) team, and actively working on multiple fronts of the product including Advanced networking, OpenStack core, Kubernetes edge deployments, and Performance and scalability tuning. He recently started to work on the edge computing features on top of Kubernetes, specifically for 5G NFVi deployments. Prior to the experience with Kubernetes, he developed features to support VxLAN/SR with FD.io VPP on OpenStack, NUMA awareness/CPU pinning/isolation for VNF performance improvements, and also worked closely with OPNFV and Opendev community as the key contributor for developing NFVbench, the specialized benchmarking tool for NFVi cloud.
