Containers, Mesos and Kubernetes
Patrick Reilly, a well known technology strategist, serial entrepreneur, and open source advocate, who recently joined the Cloud CTO team at Cisco.
Patrick comes into Cisco with a wealth of platform development experience from Wikimedia Foundation, OmniTi, Schematic, Media Revolution, Sony Pictures and the PHP Group.
Most recently, Patrick was CEO of Kismatic, a startup recently acquired by Appenda, which provided commercial support for Kubernetes and Docker. In addition, Patrick was an advisor to Mesosphere, and on the governing board of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF). Cisco is a Platinum member of CNCF which is shaping the evolution of how containers are packaged and deployed to grow an ecosystem of cloud native application and services.
For those of you who already know Patrick, it will come as no surprise that he will be responsible for strengthening Cisco’s collaboration and strategic relationships with emerging open source Linux foundation projects and communities.
