I will support adoption of Openstack in the enterprise, and help organizations to shape and improve it responsibly.
I am a U.S. Army Infantry combat veteran who held the first ever free elections in Iraq, VFW Junior Vice Commander for post 5262 in Canton Georgia, member of the American Legion, and an experienced Enterprise IT Technician. I am a father of 2 boys (8 and 10) who have grown up with Ubuntu and it has been a major part of our lives for a long time now. I have worked my way up from network admin to Linux guru, through the engineering roles, and have landed in a magical land of code development and complex data center architecture design and testing.
I built out my first Openstack cloud on Folsom and went live with Grizzly about 6 weeks later, and have been happily working with Openstack every day in some form or fashion ever since. There is nothing I would rather be doing than working with Openstack and transforming the industry.
I have over a decade of industry experience in virtualization, Linux, and Network architecture and engineering. Most recently I have worked migrating a client off of Amazon Web Services to Openstack private cloud for a huge savings and performance increase, built massive scaling APIs for The Weather Company (The Weather Channel,) managed Skunkworks projects for architecture and vendor evaluations at AT&T, and am currently working to produce comprehensive Openstack test plans for Cisco using Tempest, Rally, and 3rd party utilities.
