Statement of Interest

I participate in the EU FP7 project Contrail ( and I'm interested in Service Level Agreements for the Cloud. I would like to contribute in adding SLA support to OpenStack by integrating it with Contrail.


Lorenzo Blasi, Master in Electronics Engineering in 1990, is a technical consultant for HP Technology Services contributing to HP (and before to Digital and Compaq) since 1990. He worked 7 years in the R&D and Corporate Engineering for Digital Equipment, developing releasing and maintaining software products for the worldwide market in the CASE and Manufacturing areas. Lorenzo then spent 5 years with Compaq and HP delivering consulting and integration projects for the financial and telecom markets and 4 years as Business Analysis team leader for a major Telecom operator. He has wide technological skills in software engineering and enterprise integration, spanning from analysis and solution architecture level to implementation details. His research interests are on the following areas: languages, grid, security, virtual worlds and user interfaces, clouds, service level agreements. Within HP Italy Innovation Center, Lorenzo is currently contributing and owning technical responsibility for HP Italy participation in several EC funded FP7 projects including SRS, AddPriv and CONTRAIL, where he contributes as leader for the WP on Service Level Agreements.
