Matt Jarvis is a Consulting Architect at Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu, working on large scale OpenStack deployments worldwide. Matt has been building products and services around open source software for most of the last 20 years, from embedded devices through to enterprise class distributed systems. Most recently, he has been focused on open cloud technologies including OpenStack and Ceph, and was the founding CTO at DataCentred, the first UK based OpenStack public cloud provider. Matt is also an active member of the global OpenStack community - he has been an Active Technical Contributor, served as Track Chair for the Austin and Barcelona Summits, and received an Outstanding Contribution award. Matt has also sat on various Working Groups, and is currently serving as co-chair of the Public Cloud Working Group, and on the organising team for the Operators Meetups.
