Statement of Interest

To improve my knowledge and awareness of openstack and improve our coporate offerings


Britton Almy is an IT professional with 20 years of experience across many verticals in the public and private sectors including, Government, Health Care and Manufacturing. Britton has engineering, consulting and management experience. Britton has a significant knowledge depth in storage, servers and virtualization and Cloud. Britton is part of the VMware Partner Technical Advisory Board and has sat on the HP Storage Technical Advisory Council.

Britton is currently the Senior Director of Data Center Solutions for PCM where he is responsible for managing groups that deliver pre and post-sales services within the Data Center and Cloud. He is also responsible for vendor relations and technical alignment for our resources and sets the tone for the design and types of deliverables for our consulting engagements.

Prior to his current position he was a solutions consulting engineer for PCM/SARCOM working with enterprise data center solutions. He was responsible for the architecture and design of virtualized redundant information systems. These designs include the virtualization of physical systems, centralization of data storage and offsite replication and archiving. In addition, Britton has also implemented virtualization, backup and recovery and centralized storage solutions, and has performed data and application migrations and system consolidations.

Britton’s areas of technology experience include HP, IBM and Dell server and blade platforms and HP, EMC, Dell and IBM storage systems, VMware and Microsoft virtualization.

Britton’s formal education includes a Bachelors of Science degree in Information Technology. He holds a number of technical certifications, including those for HP and EMC storage, VMware, Microsoft and IBM products and technologies
