We are looking for a full-time, permanent DevOps Engineer OpenStack to start at the earliest possible date. You can choose to work entirely remotely, in a hybrid environment, or on-site. Our modern offices are located in Cologne, Hamburg, Bielefeld and Dresden.
Your creative field
As DevOps Engineer OpenStack, you are an important part of our agile OpenStack Squad, which works on the further development of our OpenStack infrastructure. Because we at plusserver are a member of the GAIA-X Foundation, provide a licence-free infrastructure solution with the pluscloud open and work there on the Souvereign Cloud Stack. Therefore, the cooperation and conception in the SCS context is an important part of your field of activity.
There is a lot to do with us, because with us you are shaping the IT future of tomorrow:
You work on the conception of our open source cloud products, automate, standardise and operate the OpenStack environments. You also support the development of pluscloud open and have everything under control in terms of availability and recovery through operational and conceptual activities. With you, nothing can go wrong.
As a member of your competent team, you also work with Ansible and Terraform and think outside the box with container virtualisation and Kubernetes. No one can fool you in troubleshooting either, because you carry out problem and error analyses and bring in sustainable solutions.
We also give you the opportunity to familiarise yourself with new technologies and support you in your professional development with intensive training and education opportunities.

- professional experience in administration in the Linux/Unix environment
- sound experience in setting up and operating OpenStack platforms
- a constructive approach to troubleshooting in order to solve problems and optimise them in the long term
- passion and enthusiasm for new topics and technologies related to OpenStack, Kubernetes, Linux and automation
- an interest in the implementation of virtualisation and cloud projects
- a preference for working independently and responsibly, as well as a willingness to participate in on-call duties
- German and English language skills
