About Vault Systems
Vault Systems is a rapidly growing Australian company that is dedicated to providing highly secure cloud services to the Australian Government and its partners.
The Cloud Administrator is responsible for improving customer experience by providing a dedicated Vault Systems resource to channel and/or resolve initial support requests while also providing critical feedback to the business and technical teams.
As a Cloud Administrator, a firm understanding of infrastructure, excellent communication skills and a passion for learning new technology will ensure success in this role.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
The duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgement. Below you will find a list of some of the key duties and responsibilities:
Facilitate all the day to day requests from the customer.
Participate in feedback to the engineering team to enhance customer experience.
Develop a core knowledge base to ramp up a self-service site for customers.
Provide feedback to enhance customer workflow.
Promote a strong security stance to our customers to ensure the security of cloud applications, prevent data theft, loss, or other disasters.
Participate in ongoing health check of the cloud platform.
Skills and Experience
Below is a list of the required experience, skills and qualifications that will allow you to be successful in this role.
Strong customer service skills
Linux experience required - must be comfortable on the command line
Enterprise networking experience
Familiarity with A cloud platform (Amazon EC2, Azure, Rackspace etc)
Experience working with Microsoft Server Platforms
Experience with OpenStack technology.
Familiarity with automation tools such as Chef, Puppet and Ansible.
Proficiency in Windows(server) and Linux environments.
Experience supporting enterprise applications.
Other skills include:
Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to learn quickly and think ahead.
Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
Provide systematic and dependable system follow up.
Ability to think strategically and execute quality output.
