<\/figure>\n\n\n\nHere, we\u2019re talking to Genghang from China Railway. He tells the community about how he got started with OpenStack and his favorite memory from the last 10 years of OpenStack<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
How did you get started working with OpenStack and what are you doing now?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
I transitioned to working on OpenStack from Eucalyptus in 2014. That is when I started following the OpenStack community, Ceph, SheepDog, etc. Since then, I have done many things, but the focus has remained on OpenStack because I firmly believe in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What is your favorite memory from the last 10 years of OpenStack?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
OpenStack community is active and full of energy for innovation. In these 10 years, China has gradually become the country with the most OpenStack users and developers in the world, and many companies have benefited from it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
How did you contribute to the OpenStack community?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
In the past, I contributed patches to the OpenStack community, especially in Manila. In the meantime, I am also following several projects to make sure certain requirements from China Railway can be accomplished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What advice do you have for the Stacker community and other growing open source communities based on your experience with OpenStack?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Communicate, Collaborate, Contribute, and Commit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If I were to ask you in 2030, what do you think the OpenStack update will be?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
None of it would be possible without the consistent growth of the OpenStack community. The momentum of growth is not slowing down. Today, we are not only celebrating our community\u2019s achievement for the past 10 years but also looking forward to the continued prosperity of the community in the next 10 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Within the era of 5G\/6G, I think OpenStack will play a major role within a few years from now on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
