Aptira, hastexo, The Linux Foundation, Mirantis, Morphlabs,\u00a0Piston, Rackspace,\u00a0Red Hat, SUSE and SwiftStack are the first companies to have\u00a0courses available in the Marketplace, with the goal of growing the OpenStack\u00a0talent pool\u00a0and accelerating the availability of OpenStack training courses\u00a0worldwide.<\/p>\n<div>To\u00a0find an OpenStack training course from the ecosystem of providers, visit\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.openstack.org\/marketplace\/training\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>http:\/\/www.openstack.org\/marketplace\/training<\/strong><\/a>.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>OpenStack\u00a0expertise continues to pay off, with OpenStack jobs consistently paying higher\u00a0wages and employers doubling the number of job postings\u00a0over the past year.\u00a0\u00a0The ecosystem has quickly responded to help developers and operators gain\u00a0these valuable skills, with <strong>dozens of courses across\u00a010 countries and 25 cities included in the Marketplace at launch<\/strong>. <strong>Future demand for OpenStack skills is only\u00a0expected to grow, with the BSA Global Cloud\u00a0Scorecard predicting that 14\u00a0million cloud jobs will be created by 2015.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_5126\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/infogr.am\/OpenStack-Jobs-Pay-openstack_1379335768\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5126\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5126\" alt=\"OpenStack Jobs Pay\" src=\"http:\/\/www.openstack.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Screen-Shot-2013-09-16-at-10.33.34-AM-300x279.png\" width=\"300\" height=\"279\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.openstack.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Screen-Shot-2013-09-16-at-10.33.34-AM-300x279.png 300w, https:\/\/www.openstack.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Screen-Shot-2013-09-16-at-10.33.34-AM.png 541w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-5126\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">OpenStack Jobs Pay<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cThe\u00a0goal of the Foundation is to eliminate barriers to OpenStack adoption, create\u00a0more OpenStack experts and ensure that OpenStack has a positive\u00a0impact on the\u00a0careers of our community members,\u201d\u00a0said Jonathan\u00a0Bryce, executive director of\u00a0the OpenStack Foundation. \u201cWe want to grow\u00a0the\u00a0community, accelerate the availability of training programs worldwide and\u00a0help close the OpenStack job gap.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In order to offer courses in the Training\u00a0Marketplace, companies must meet requirements set by the Foundation, with the\u00a0primary purpose of the course\u00a0being to contribute to, operate or build\u00a0applications for an OpenStack cloud. The training curriculum should provide a\u00a0strong understanding of the\u00a0OpenStack core projects based on a current version\u00a0of the software, as well as cover community governance and contribution\u00a0processes.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0addition to paid and free training courses by companies in the OpenStack\u00a0ecosystem, there are many community efforts to produce helpful\u00a0documentation, how-to information and new\u00a0Operations\u00a0and\u00a0Security\u00a0guide books. There are also many educational\u00a0sessions and hands-on workshops\u00a0scheduled for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.openstack.org\/summit\/openstack-summit-hong-kong-2013\/?source=o3\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>next\u00a0OpenStack Summit, November 5-8, in Hong\u00a0Kong<\/strong><\/a>.
