I am always ready to listen to the community for new ideas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bexar Gamma Freeze Set for EOD January 27 &#8211;\u00a0 (Gamma Freeze information at <a href=\"http:\/\/wiki.openstack.org\/GammaFreeze\">http:\/\/wiki.openstack.org\/GammaFreeze<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>D Release Naming Poll &#8211; \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/%7Eopenstack\/+poll\/d-release-naming\/+vote\">https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~openstack\/+poll\/d-release-naming\/+vote<\/a> (open till 1\/25\/11 20:00 UTC)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Developer Mailing List<\/strong> (archive: <a href=\"https:\/\/lists.launchpad.net\/openstack\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/lists.launchpad.net\/openstack\/<\/a>)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Can ec2-api-tools maintain OpenStack Nova? <\/em> &#8211;\u00a0 Kenji Funasaki asked if it is possible to get image information by using ec2-describe-images functions within the EC2-API-TOOLS? Soren Hansen and Masanori ITOH responded that ec2 api tools use the SOAP based API for EC2 which are in development for the Cactus release in April.<em><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Windows\/Hyper-V<\/em> \u2013 Jordan Rinke inquired about Hyper-V running on NOVA and was looking for more information; Chiradeep Vittal supplied a wiki page <a href=\"http:\/\/wiki.openstack.org\/HypervInstall\">http:\/\/wiki.openstack.org\/HypervInstall<\/a>. <em><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>New Config File for Nova-API<\/em> \u2013 Armando Migliaccio asked about the new way of configuring nova-api as the old glags style has been replaced by past.deploy style. \u00a0Jay Pipes, Andy Smith, and Anne Gentle responded on the need to improve documentation in this area; Armando did respond that flags and paste.deploy don\u2019t configure the same things and he had confusion from the way he as using \u2013flagfile=nova-api.conf. <em><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Live Migration Branch Status<\/em> \u2013 Thierry Carrez posted information on the decision to delay the release of this code from Bexar to Cactus. Masumotok confirmed this decision.<em><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Deprecating nova-objectstore<\/em> \u2013 Thierry Carrez posted information on the long term plan to remove the objectstore post Bexar and leverage Glance.
