{"id":197,"date":"2010-10-22T14:00:53","date_gmt":"2010-10-22T19:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/openstack.toddmorey.com\/blog\/?p=197"},"modified":"2010-10-22T14:00:53","modified_gmt":"2010-10-22T19:00:53","slug":"openstack-austin-release-is-out","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.openstack.org\/blog\/openstack-austin-release-is-out\/","title":{"rendered":"OpenStack &#8220;Austin&#8221; Release is Out"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">We made it &#8212; at least to the starting gate!\u00a0 We&#8217;re pleased to announce the &#8216;Austin&#8217; code release of OpenStack Compute and Object Storage.\u00a0 This first release is a result of the hard work of the development community and the active support of more than 35 corporate partners over the last three months.\u00a0 While Object Storage is ready for production, this first release of Compute is intended primarily for testing and limited deployment.<\/p>\n<p>We know many of you are eager to try the OpenStack release.\u00a0 You can download it at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.openstack.org\/projects\/compute\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.openstack.org\/projects\/compute\/<\/a> and OpenStack Object Storage at<a href=\"http:\/\/www.openstack.org\/projects\/storage\/\" target=\"_blank\"> http:\/\/www.openstack.org\/projects\/storage\/<\/a>. You can find living and breathing documentation on the wiki at <a href=\"http:\/\/wiki.openstack.org\/Documentation\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/wiki.openstack.org\/Documentation<\/a>. You can get support through the new mailing lists at <a href=\"http:\/\/wiki.openstack.org\/MailingLists\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/wiki.openstack.org\/MailingLists<\/a> and the #openstack channel on IRC. We&#8217;re ready to assist adopters and contributors both, so please join us.<\/p>\n<p>The OpenStack community will determine the roadmap for the next two releases, starting with the \u2018Bexar\u2019 release scheduled for January, at the next public Design Summit, November 9-12, in San Antonio, Texas.
