{"id":1107,"date":"2011-06-29T09:31:33","date_gmt":"2011-06-29T14:31:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.openstack.org\/blog\/?p=1107"},"modified":"2011-06-29T09:41:59","modified_gmt":"2011-06-29T14:41:59","slug":"call-for-committee-members-for-boston-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.openstack.org\/blog\/call-for-committee-members-for-boston-event\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Program Committee &#8211; OpenStack Conference in Boston"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">The planning process for the October 5-7, 2011 OpenStack Conference in Boston, MA is underway and we need volunteers for the Program Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Currently the Program Committee consists of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stephen Spector, Community Manager<\/li>\n<li>Thierry Carrez, Release Manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ideally we would like to have around 10 people on the Program Committee, so there is currently space for eight more volunteers. The Program Committee will be responsible for<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participation in the high level agenda organization<\/li>\n<li>Participation in the creation of the event agenda<\/li>\n<li>Speaker recruitment and assignment based on agenda<\/li>\n<li> Event speaker introductions (if able to attend the event)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Any community members interested in being part of the Program Committee should email me (<a href=\"mailto:summer.fouche@rackspace.com\">summer.fouche@rackspace.com<\/a>) by Thursday, July 7th.<\/p>\n<p>The Program Committee, as well as the event theme will then be announced Friday, July 8th. So, if you have suggestions for a Boston event theme you can submit them here: <a title=\"http:\/\/etherpad.openstack.org\/boston-themes\" href=\"http:\/\/etherpad.openstack.org\/boston-themes\">http:\/\/etherpad.openstack.org\/boston-themes<\/a><br \/>\nAs always the agenda development process for the event will be done in the open so that everyone can contribute.
