configure rhel based openstack install to work with your exisiting home network

Presentation is to show how to configure neutron to work with exisiting home network, this will allow any machine on the home network to be able to access launched instances from within openstack . This is possible by associating floating point  ip's to the instances. As part of the presentation will touch upon the following


1. 3 node install of openstack(controller node, neutron node, compute node) using the rdo packstack 

2. Create public, private network, subnetwork,  routers, setup gateway and interface on the router

3. Add security groups rule to all instance to be able to be pingable and ssh

4. Demo to access the instance via ssh

I am currently working as a cloud Engineer supporting the IBM private cloud solution(ICOS).


IBM’s enterprise-class private cloud infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS)—delivers secure and scalable hosted IT infrastructure with on-demand access to virtual server and storage resources. ICOS is built upon openstack icehouse.. Previously I worked as a Advisory software engineer within IBM since 2003.  I  have worked as a developer and architect and contributed to IBM developerWorks  web site visited by over 4 millions users monthly. My skills include strong Java, Rest api's, struts, hibernate,  Java enterprise applications ,  Javascript, Community applications (Blogs, Forums, communities etc),  Websphere and DB2


I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology India and Master's in Electrical Engineering  from University of Nevada, Reno.
