Projects

I'm involved in the following OpenStack projects: Horizon

David is a candidate in the 2015 Board Election .

Q

What is your relationship to OpenStack, and why is its success important to you? What would you say is your biggest contribution to OpenStack's success to date?

A

I am currently serving my third term as the Horizon PTL. I have been a developer and deployer of OpenStack services. Continued adoption and progress of Openstack is important for providing a common open cloud software solution. My greatest contribution to OpenStack is guiding Horizon through a period of tremendous growth and helping evolve Horizon to be a viable user interface for a wide range of OpenStack deployments.

Q

Describe your experience with other non profits or serving as a board member. How does your experience prepare you for the role of a board member?

A

This would be my first experience serving on a non profit board. I look forward to the opportunity to represent the OpenStack community members and OpenStack

Q

What do you see as the Board's role in OpenStack's success?

A

The Board's role is providing an atmosphere where developers, deployers and operators can work together to deliver on the promise of open cloud software while supporting an ecosystem that meets the needs of both commercial and private entities.

Q

What do you think the top priority of the Board should be in 2014?

A

The Board's top priority should be supporting growth of a broad ecosystem around OpenStack. In order to accomplish this OpenStack needs to refine the core of OpenStack and deliver on the promise of interoperability.
