Statement of Interest

Scalability, stability, and desired abstractions of services.



Dr. Jun Park is a Solutions Architect at Adobe and launched an OpenStack cloud service, utilizing a fully distributed storage system, Ceph, and an advanced networking technology, Software-Defined-Networking (SDN). He worked at Samsung in the area of high performance computing in 90's and later obtained his Ph.D. in computer science from University of Utah. Before joining Adobe, Dr. Park served as one of chief systems architects at several companies including EIG/Bluehost where he developed a production-level SDN solution in OpenStack and NTT/Verio where he contributed to the 2012 launch of the Cloud-N product in both the Japan and US markets using CloudStack. His interests include clouds, distributed systems, and advanced networking technologies such as SDN and policy-based approaches. He also recently achieved an MBA degree from Brigham Young University in Utah.
