Making an open cloud platform

I'm a Free Software hacker working at Red Hat. I've been contributing to open source projects for more than 10 years now, in various area, such as Debian, Freedesktop and obviously OpenStack.

I'm involved in the following OpenStack projects: Ceilometer,Oslo

Julien is a candidate in the 2016 Board Election .

What is your relationship to OpenStack, and why is its success important to you? What would you say is your biggest contribution to OpenStack's success to date?

Since 2011, I contribute to OpenStack as a developer, and co-started the Ceilometer project. I've ran Project Team Leader for Ceilometer for a year in 2013-2014, and seat at the Technical Committee. Nowadays, I still contribute to the Telemetry projects (Ceilometer, Aodh and Gnocchi) on a daily basis. I am also invested since the beginning in the Oslo project.

Describe your experience with other non profits or serving as a board member. How does your experience prepare you for the role of a board member?

I had the chance to already seat at the OpenStack Technical Committee or at the board of Debian France, among other things.

What do you see as the Board's role in OpenStack's success?

I think the board should be responsible to clear any issue that could limit OpenStack contributors and users in their use and build of OpenStack.

What do you think the top priority of the Board should be in 2016?

Making sure that it continues to apply its role.
