Develop methods to use OpenStack more safely under Public Clouds; Help with documentation


Jeff has over 17 years of experience in a variety of roles including Systems Engineer, System Administrator, Developer, Application Security Engineer, Senior Consultant and Security Architect. He has worked with a number of Federal agencies, including the Treasury Department and Social Security Administration.

He has designed solutions for desktop, servers and mobile platforms, developed secure containers for data at rest on Windows Mobile, Android, and iOS; implemented secure channels for data in motion; integrated management functions such as password lockouts and secure remote wipes; and integrated security libraries using Microsoft CAPI, Certicom Security Builder, OpenSSL and Crypto++.

Jeff's work in the private sector included a financial institutions and defense contractors, where he advised senior management on mobile security policies and procedures, trained system architects on mobile infrastructure and platforms, advised development teams on secure mobile designs, and performed mobile architectural risk analysis for applications entering production. For other clients, he has overseen and performed certification and accreditation audits, secure code reviews, and architectural risk assessments of traditional and mobile systems of varying code base sizes (primarily C/C++ and Objective C).
