I own a privately-funded cloud consulting company with a core emphasis on OpenStack. The success of the cloud platform itself and its future direction is not just key to the success of our company and our customers who are researching it but to the OpenStack project itself. My biggest contribution to OpenStack has been the process of translating an ideal to propagate the open cloud into tangible actions; developing and implementing an open cloud platform in enterprises across the world. My interest is both philanthropic and personal.
I have been an architect for over a decade and have run multiple start-ups focusing on bleeding edge technologies that drive what consumers today simply expect. While this candidacy is my first foray into board membership, my approach to strategic project leadership couples battle-tested architectural pratices with old fashioned business sense that results in a seasoned and passionate board member candidate. That's a win for OpenStack.
I feel the Board must embrace the inevitable change and tolerate disruption while embracing the values that makes our community what it is - vibrant. That isn't easy and won't be accomplished in a single election cycle, but I look forward to seeing this happen.
Propagation of the open cloud. Anythign that drives adoption and processess that gets us closer to that goal.
