As a Technology Operator Cloud Services (m/f), you will be part of a team responsible for operating the cloud infrastructure and applications. Your role is to optimize these environments in terms of capacity utilization, stability, security, scalability and power consumption etc. across multiple data centers. You monitor and ensure operation of the cloud infrastructure and applications. You implement changes, identify and analyze irregularities, and initiate the necessary steps to keep them under control.

• To this end, you work with agile methodologies (Kanban or Scrum) in a team devoted to the various aspects of operation, automation and optimization.

• Drawing on your extensive experience in the operation of Linux systems, databases and application stacks, you follow the defined processes for recurring tasks (integration of new applications or services, security problems or failures, installation of patches and updates, restart of applications etc.). Where applicable, you support your team's Technology Manager with the definition and documentation of expedient processes.

• You also support the team responsible for the integration and operation of the cloud infrastructure.

• You execute software processes for integrating new virtual or physical machines into the existing environments, optimizing such processes, etc.

• You are committed to maintaining the software infrastructure, particularly via the implementation of corrections and updates (lifecycle and change management)

• In the event of security problems or infrastructure failures, you and your team are on hand to analyze and rectify or escalate the problem.

What we expect from you in terms of technical skills:

• A degree in informatics or an equivalent technical qualification and/or at least four years' practical experience in a comparable IT environment (IT operations, data center operation etc.)

• Extensive professional experience in the operation and administration of Linux-based environments and applications

• A good knowledge of system-related tools and script languages

• Familiarity with the relevant configuration management and system monitoring

tools

• Professional experience in the virtualization and cloud sectors; ideally,

experience with the operation of (open source) cloud platforms

• Your disciplined, systematic approach to the operation of infrastructure and

applications is impressive

• You have a good command of English and have already worked in

international teams
