Job Responsibilities:

  • Structure and manage multiple projects, establish delivery deadlines, and manage task dependencies to ensure organizational goals are achieved
  • Coordinate with the System Administrator and Technical Lead to map business needs (such as new websites) to hardware acquisition
  • Allocate money in the yearly capital expenditure budget for hardware and third party services
  • Contribute to product strategy and product roadmap
  • Communicate organizational goals and progress to team stakeholders including the General Manager, CTO, CFO and CEO
  • Oversee software development and project management processes
  • Lead recruitment and hiring activities for the engineering team
  • Facilitate communication among engineering divisions by leading the daily standup
  • Investigate conferences and training opportunities to encourage employee development

 Required Skills & Experience:

  • BS (MS preferred) in a quantitative/technical discipline (Computer Science, Info Systems, etc.) is preferred; in lieu of a degree, at least 5 years of relevant skills or experience
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in either software engineering, engineering program management, technical account management, or related field
  • At least 3 years of direct experience working with web-based, consumer-facing products/services
  • At least 3 years of supervisory/managerial experience
  • Ability to work independently on project deliverables in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, with proven success in program management, execution, and multi-tasking
  • Functional understanding of modern web frameworks (Mongo, RabbitMQ, Tornado, Elastic Search) and Open-Source/LAMP stack architecture
  • Experience managing multiple projects within an Agile/SCRUM-based development methodology
  • Superior written and verbal communication, and presentation skills

 Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with  JIRA or Bugzilla a plus
  • Experience working with mobile responsive web or native apps development (iOS/Android) a plus
Pay: 110-115K plus 15% bonus
