OpenStack Conference Sessions Coming Online

The process is now underway to upload all the recorded sessions from the OpenStack Conference. The first video is now live, the keynote from Neal Sample at eBay. It is taking a few hours to upload and configure these videos so please be patient while this process is underway. All videos will eventually be uploaded to the OpenStack Vimeo account at http://vimeo.com/user5231339. We will also publish a new Event page with links to slides and videos for all Conference presentations.

OpenStack Conference and Design Summit Sponsored by Citrix – Feedback

I completed the review of the recent OpenStack Conference & Design Summit and want to share the results with the community. The attached document – OpenStack Design Summit 2011 Review contains the information collected by myself and others as well as results of the online survey. If you have additional feedback on this event, please send me an email at stephen.spector@openstack.org so I can add the details to this document. Thanks to everyone who completed the survey or provided feedback to myself privately; the team planning our community events uses this information to assist planning our future events.

OPENSTACK IN THE NEWS

OpenStack Community Message Boards UPDATE

With the release yesterday of an OpenStack message board system, the community has quickly realized that significant demand exists and we have decided to re-evaluate the various technologies to ensure that we provide the optimal solution to meet the growing demand. The Project Policy Board is is working on a process to make decisions on our official communication tools that will result in new tools being deployed in the near future to meet the needs of the community beyond the existing tools (IRC and Mailing List).. I anticipate the re-launch of a forum next week with the full support of the entire community. Please watch this blog and Twitter for more information on this important support mechanism.

OpenStack Launches Community Message Boards

The OpenStack community has launched a new communication tool to better allow prospective and current users to share ideas and solutions to common problems when deploying or using OpenStack technologies. Of course, developers and technologists are more than welcome to join the forum boards to provide answers and add questions of their own. The site is available at http://forums.openstack.org/.

Sign up today and start leveraging your existing knowledge (and learn even more) of OpenStack in Object Storage (SWIFT), Compute (NOVA), and Image Service (GLANCE).
